Public Hearing for Weatherization Assistance Program state plan 9:00 a.m. August 7

NOTICE: Notice is hereby given of the intent of the Department of Family Services to adopt a plan governing the 2026-2027 (PY2026) Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP). The grant application/state plan establishes standards for the delivery of the Weatherization Assistance Program and includes provisions related to program administration, determination of eligibility, program standards and guidelines, scope of weatherization work, applicant rights, quality assurance, and program personnel.

A virtual public hearing will be held from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 7, 2026.

PROPOSED ANNUAL SOCIAL SERVICES BLOCK GRANT PLAN OF THE SOCIAL SERVICES DIVISION WITHIN THE DEPARTMENT OF FAMILY SERVICES

Public notice is hereby given that the Wyoming Department of Family Services intends to act on the Annual Social Services Block Grant Plan. A copy of the Annual Social Services Block Grant Plan is available at this link or from the county offices of the Department. This plan describes the social services made available through the Department for the federal fiscal year beginning October 1, 2026.


The DFS Advisory Council operates in conjunction with the Department of Family Services (Wyoming Statute 9-2-2106). Its mission is to provide program support, guidance, advocacy, feedback and act as a liaison to the department, functions which are guided by the department’s own mission statement. Most members are appointed by the Governor to serve three-year terms. The Senate President and Speaker of the House each appoint one member from the legislative body.
