The DFS Advisory Council operates in conjunction with the Department of Family Services (Wyoming Statute 9-2-2106). Its mission is to provide program support, guidance, advocacy, feedback and act as a liaison to the department, functions which are guided by the department’s own mission statement. Most members are appointed by the Governor to serve three-year terms. The Senate President and Speaker of the House each appoint one member from the legislative body.

NOTICE: Notice is hereby given of the intent of the Department of Family Services to adopt a plan governing the Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP). The grant application/state plan establishes standards for the delivery of the Weatherization Assistance Program and includes provisions related to program administration, determination of eligibility, program standards and guidelines, scope of weatherization work, applicant rights, quality assurance, and program personnel. This public hearing replaces the public hearing previously scheduled for April 22, 2022 which had to be canceled due to inclement weather.
