Partnering with Healthcare Providers for Families Affected by Prenatal Substance Exposure.
The National Center on Substance Abuse and Child Welfare (NCSACW), with support from the Vermont Oxford Network (VON) developed a four-part series on implementing Plans of Safe Care and Family Care Plans that promote safety and well-being for pregnant people, infants, and their families affected by prenatal substance exposure.
Supporting Children of the OPiod Epidemic (SCOPE) ECHO series:

Project SCOPE ECHO provides information and resources about current and emerging knowledge and evidence-based practices for supporting children and families impacted by prenatal opioid exposure. Project SCOPE ECHO is intended for healthcare providers, educators, community-based professionals, and caregivers of children with prenatal opioid exposure. Learner Outcome: After taking part in this event, participants will report increased knowledge of new skills and strategies to care for substance exposed newborns.
Learning Objectives: Identify evidence-based practices for supporting infants and families affected by substance use in the prenatal and postpartum periods. Recognize deficits in care transitions prior to and following birth hospitalization for birthing individuals and infants affected substance use.
