Prepared, Not Scared

Prepared Not Scared, National Preparedness Month 2019. Click to Learn More

September is National Preparedness Month. This year’s theme is: Prepared, Not Scared!

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is focusing on teaching children and young adults the importance of building a culture of preparedness and resilience. When teaching preparedness at a younger age it can become a habit, by using the skills they learn as a way to protect themselves as they get older. It’s something everyone of all ages can learn from. It’s never too late!

Week 1: Sept 1-7 | Save Early for Disaster Costs
Week 2: Sept 8-14 | Make a Plan to Prepare for Disasters
Week 3: Sept 15-21 | Teach Youth to Prepare for Disasters
Week 4: Sept 22-30 | Get Involved in Your Community’s Preparedness
