Public Notice is hereby given that the Department of Family Services (DFS) intends to amend the following rules:

Child Care Licensing

The Department of Family Services is amending Child Care Licensing Rules, Chapters 1-11, in order to improve the organization of the Rules, clarify requirements, provide the least restrictive regulations without compromising child health and safety focus, and to comply with federal regulations.

The public comment period is from: October 31, 2025 through December 16, 2025.

Written comments shall be submitted to: Michelle Lala, WY Department of Family Services, 2300 Capitol Avenue, 3rd floor, Cheyenne, WY 82002 or michelle.lala@wyo.gov

A public hearing on the rules will be held by DFS if requested by twenty-five (25) persons, by a governmental subdivision, or by an association having not less than twenty-five (25) members. Requests for a hearing should be directed to DFS at the address above by the date specified. Any person may urge the agency not to adopt the rules and also request the agency to state its reasons for overruling the consideration urged against the Central Registry program. Interested parties may request a statement of DFS’s position regarding each comment and the action taken as a result of the comments prior to, or within 30 days after the amendment of these rules. Requests shall be submitted to the above address. If requested, the statement will be issued by DFS within 30 days after DFS’ action.
