The Wyoming System for Adult and Family Engagement (WYOSAFE) will replace the agency’s current case management system, WYCAPS. WYOSAFE will directly interface with other DFS and state agency systems to streamline processes, improve staff and stakeholder experiences, improve agency data reporting and sharing capabilities, and allow the agency to spend more time supporting the children, youth, adults, and families they serve every day! The system is set to go live in early September 2024.
What is WYOSAFE?
WYOSAFE is a comprehensive child welfare information system (CCWIS) that has replaced the current WYCAPS case management system. It will interface with other DFS and state agency systems to streamline data and processes. This system allows for a much-improved user experience, stakeholder experience, system and data efficiencies, and new technologies.
Key Features of the System:
- User-Friendly External Portal – service providers will be able to directly complete many administrative tasks, such as accepting or rejecting service referrals, uploading invoices, tracking payments, and more.
- Financial Management and Payments – will integrate financial-related business processes and activities and streamline processes for authorizations, payments, invoicing, and provider management.
- Improved Data and Reporting – will provide comprehensive data to drive impactful decision making.
A Modular System Approach:
WYOSAFE will be made up of 10 system modules. These modules ensure all case management needs of the agency are being met through:
- Intake
- Assessment and Investigation
- Case Management
- Family Engagement
- Person and Relationship Management
- Foster and Out of Home Care
- Finance Management
- Central Registry
- Reporting
- External Portal
