The Wyoming Homeowner Assistance Fund (HAF) Program provides help for homeowners with:
- ARREARS: mortgage, utilities, property taxes, homeowners insurance, and homeowners association dues.
- PROSPECTIVE: Up to three (3) months of consecutive mortgage payments. Delinquencies will be prioritized over forward mortgage payments.
The maximum amount allowed per household is $17,000, which is paid to the service provider on behalf of the homeowner. This is a one-time award. Once an applicant has received HAF funds, they will not be eligible for the HAF Program again.
Application Assistance
Please call the HAF Program Call Center at 1-888-996-4237 (WYO-HAFP). Starting on May 2, the center will be open Monday – Friday from 9 AM – 6 PM MT.
Bulletin Updates
The Wyoming Homeowner Assistance Fund (HAF) Program would like to clarify the process of handling subservicers and private label clients. When an application is received, all data transfer emails will be sent to the servicer listed on the mortgage statement. If the servicer listed on the mortgage statement directs our case managers to another servicer, we will send the application back to the homeowner to verify the correct payment address and to complete a new Third Party Authorization (TPA), if needed. We appreciate your cooperation.

The federal homeowner assistance fund identifies homeowners as the fund beneficiaries. Homeowners will apply to the program individually and HAF funds will be awarded based on an eligibility determination for that individual homeowner. Funds will then be paid to the servicer on the homeowner’s behalf.
No. Homeowners and servicers are not required to conduct loss mitigation prior to using HAF funds. HAF funds may be used to supplement loss mitigation procedures, if appropriate. Servicers should ensure they are following all applicable federal guidance and regulations to make borrowers aware of the options available to them.
The HAF Program and servicers will share data securely via the State’s SFTP, the servicer’s SFTP, or secure email. The selected data-sharing method will depend on the servicer’s preference and expected volume of loans. The HAF Program and servicers will share data securely via secure email.
