
Executive Order 2026-02 instructs the Wyoming Department of Family Services (DFS) to begin planning for implementation of the SUN Bucks program for summer 2026.
- SUN Bucks is a summer-only food benefit program.
- The program is for children eligible for free and reduced price lunch who do not have access to school meals during the summer months.
- Each child is eligible for $120 in food benefits for the summer months.
- Benefits are subject to the same purchasing restrictions as SNAP.
- Benefits are issued on an electronic benefit transfer (EBT) card, similar to a debit card.
DFS is working with the USDA Federal Nutrition Services (FNS) to finalize our summer 2026 SUN Bucks benefits. We will share more information as soon as it becomes available.

Additionally, program information may be made available in languages other than English.
To file a program discrimination complaint, complete the USDA Program Discrimination Complaint Form, AD-3027, found online at How to File a Program Discrimination Complaint and at any USDA office or write a letter addressed to USDA and provide in the letter all of the information requested in the form.
